April 12, 2006—While the Air National Guard recruiting picture appeared to have settled into a persistent slump over the first five months of Fiscal 2006, March brought a decided improvement. The Air Force Reserve Command consistently has met or exceeded its goal, but ANG struggled, starting with a low of less than 60 percent of its goal last October. In March, the Air Guard met its goal, recruiting 834 new members.
