Air Frame: Air Force Ospreys made history in February, flying in a large 10-aircraft formation for the first time.
On Feb. 3, the six CV-22s from the 8th Special Operations Squadron at
Hurlburt Field, Fla., and four from the 20th Special Operations Squadron
at Cannon AFB, N.M., flew in formation for a training mission at
Hurlburt, according to a Hurlburt release. Video of the flight
shows the 10 Ospreys flying side by side over the base’s flightline.
The flight showed the versatility and global reach “they need to get
after the enemy,” Col. Thomas Palenske, commander of the 1st Special
Operations Wing, said in a Facebook post. (Air Force photo by A1C Joseph Pick.) (Click on image above to reach wallpaper version.)
