CMSAF James Cody will retire at the beginning of next year, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein announced Tuesday. “I’ve watched Chief Cody in action,” Goldfein said at ASC16. “I have watched him fight for airmen at the highest levels of government.” Air Force senior leadership will convene at Corona next month and will begin the search for Cody’s replacement, he said. Cody has served as Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force since January 2013.
