Boeing on Thursday announced it is challenging Denmark’s decision to buy the F-35 as its next fighter over the F/A-18 Super Hornet. Denmark in June said it will buy 27 F-35As after a 30 day review following the country’s Ministry of Defense’s initial recommendation, according to a Lockheed Martin news release. Boeing this week filed a formal Request for Insight with the Ministry of Defense, claiming a “flawed evaluation process, according to a Boeing news release. Debbie Rub, vice president and general manager of Boeing Global Strike, said in the release that Denmark inaccurately assessed the cost and capability of the Super Hornet.
