The former top military aide to Defense Secretary Ash Carter used a government credit card to cover tabs at strip clubs in South Korea and Italy, and engaged in “inappropriate” behavior with women, the Pentagon’s Inspector General found. In a report released Thursday, the Defense Department agency found former Army Maj. Gen. Rob Lewis misused the government credit card, including paying a $1,121 tab at a strip club in South Korea and a $1,755 bill in Rome, and engaged in an inappropriate relationship while married. Carter fired Lewis last year, and in a statement said, “I expect the highest possible standards of conduct from the men and women in this department, particularly from those serving in the most senior positions. There is no exception.”
