​The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is seeking ideas on how to improve efficiency, and the best will receive a financial reward. Until July 16, service members and civilians, as individuals or teams, can submit their ideas on how to eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy and improve effectiveness, according to an AFLCMC release. As of Friday, more than 40 submissions from seven different bases had already been received since the competition opened in May. Once the submission period ends, a panel will select the best ideas, and their submitters will then be asked to pitch their ideas to the panel. The winning individual or team’s unit will receive a $5,000 operation and maintenance reward. But the winner, not the unit leadership, will decide how to spend the prize money. Non-winning ideas will still be considered for implementation by the AFLCMC leadership, according to the release.
