Fighters from the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath, England, practiced basic fighter maneuvers with Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish aircraft in Norway last week. Exercise Arctic Fighter Meet 2016 allowed seven F-15s from the 492nd and 493rd Fighter Squadrons to fly with different types of aircraft, according to a May 31 release. Maj. Nick Norgaard, the exercise project officer, noted that flying with F-18s, F-16s, and Gripens, instead of other F-15s, allowed for “a different perspective on how other aircraft maneuver, because when we go to war, we don't expect to fight other F-15s." The exercise lasted from May 23 to May 27.
