Lockheed Martin has reshaped its Mission Systems and
Training section, forming a new Rotary and Mission Systems following its
purchase of Sikorsky. The new portfolio will include more than 1,000 programs,
including helicopters and other areas such as missile defense, electronic
warfare, radar, and others, according to a Lockheed release. Lockheed
in
November 2015 purchased Sikorsky Aircraft for $9 billion, and has large-scale
contracts with the new division such as the
Air
Force’s combat rescue helicopter and the
Marine
One replacement. The change is effective Sept. 5.
