Those who want to hack the Pentagon can now register to do so. On Thursday, the Pentagon opened registration for a pilot program, called “Hack the Pentagon,” that will allow hackers to find and analyze vulnerabilities on public DOD webpages between April 18 and May 12 in exchange for bounty payments, according to a release. Critical mission systems will not be included in the program. US persons who are not on the Department of the Treasury’s list of people and organizations engaged in terrorism, drug trafficking, and other crimes are eligible to participate. Successful hackers will undergo a criminal background screening before being paid the bounty. Interested hackers can apply here.
