Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James, Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh, and CMSAF James Cody recently delivered the first copies of the new version of the “little blue book” to the service’s newest airmen. The new pamphlet, “America’s Air Force: A Profession of Arms,” is the evolution of the original little blue book, “Air Force Core Values,” which was first printed in 1997, according to an Air Force news release. The pamphlet outlines the core guides, values, codes, and creeds that guide members of the Air Force. “The professionalism of our force is unprecedented because of our commitment to service, a dedication to holding ourselves to higher standards, and an unyielding pursuit by airmen to do better,” Cody said. “This book is a guide to the meaning of service and the principles that make us so strong.” Airmen can download a PDF of the book from the Profession of Arms Center of Excellence website, from Air Force e-Publishing, or download it as a free app on Android devices; PACE hopes to have a free app available for iPhones soon, according to the release.
