One of the F-16 pilots involved in a ground collision shortly after touch​down at Nellis AFB, Nev., on Aug. 15 is still undergoing medical treatment for injuries sustained in the accident, officials revealed in an update late last week. No further details were given on the circumstances of the collision that took place during local familiarization flights. The jets from Air Force Reserve Command's 301st Fighter Wing from NAS Fort Worth JRB, Texas, are currently at Nellis for exercise Red Flag 15-4, which runs Aug. 17 to 28. The Air Force is assembling an investigation board to look into the incident, according to the release.
