The crew of an Air Force C-17 made an emergency landing on the island of Fiji after experiencing a technical problem with the aircraft while en route from Hawaii to the island of Vanuatu to deliver relief supplies, reported the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation. "There was no damage to the C-17 other than what caused the emergency landing," Pacific Air Forces spokeswoman SSgt. Amanda Dick told Air Force Magazine on Monday. "The aircraft is scheduled to depart soon, continuing on to its original destination of Vanuatu," she said. The C-17 made the unscheduled touchdown at Nadi Airport on April 3; it landed safely with 28 passengers aboard, according to FBC.
