Brig. Gen. Richard Scobee assumed command of 10th Air Force, one of Air Force Reserve Command's three numbered air forces, during a ceremony at NAS Ft. Worth JRB, Texas. Scobee replaced Maj. Gen. William Binger, who led 10th AF since November 2011. Lt. Gen. James Jackson, AFRC commander, presided over the Oct. 18 command change, according to a release. Scobee will oversee AFRC's cyber, space, special operations, strike, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance assets in his new role. He comes to 10th AF from the Pentagon, where he served as director of Air Force Reserve plans, programs, and requirements since October 2013.
