​The Air Force received its 20th C-5M Super Galaxy on Monday at Travis AFB, Calif., 28 days ahead of schedule, announced Lockheed Martin. An Air Force crew ferried aircraft No. 85-0010 from the company's plant in Marietta, Ga. The C-5M is Travis' second Super Galaxy, states a July 1 release. Lockheed Martin is contracted to deliver 52 C-5Ms to the Air Force. "The last plane [to be delivered] will be in the spring of 2018," Chad Gibson, a Lockheed Martin spokesman, told Air Force Magazine.
