The 39th Air Base Wing at Incirlik AB, Turkey, hosted Turkish air force cadets, giving them a tour of the base and up-close look at airmen's activities on the installation, according to a base release. The cadets visited on July 17; they received briefings and met with airmen from the 39th Medical Group, Airman Leadership School, and explosive ordnance disposal and security forces units, states the release. "This tour was a great step in strengthening our alliance," said MSgt. Ellen Dean, school commandant. "It was great to see their perspectives and for them to see ours," she said. The cadets got to interact with military working dogs, learn about crash recovery, try on an explosive ordnance disposal bomb suit, and operate an EOD robot, according to the release. "This visit was a wonderful opportunity to highlight the alliance we have with our Turkish partners," said Col. Brent Bigger, 39th ABW vice commander. (Incirlik report by SrA. Daniel Phelps)
