Securing Slovenian Solutions: A team of air advisors from Ramstein AB, Germany, helped the Slovenian air force improve security measures at Cerklje Air Base in eastern Slovenia. "This airfield security-familiarization event was a valuable experience to further the partner relationship" with the Slovenians, said MSgt. Jay Peavey, security superintendent with Ramstein's 435th Contingency Response Group, in a Feb. 1 Ramstein release. Peavey led the four-man team on the week-long exchange to learn how the NATO ally controls its bases and how to help improve the Slovenians' capabilities. "I was very impressed with the talent and capacity of my Slovenian allies and look forward to future engagement opportunities," said Peavey. The Slovenians hosted the advisors from Jan. 21 to Jan. 25, states the release. One of the 435th CRG's primary missions is to help European partner air forces develop competencies and interoperability with the United States military. (Ramstein report by A1C Dymekre Allen)
