Air Force Academy Grad in Super Bowl: Air Force Reservist Capt. Chad Hall, a 2008 Air Force Academy graduate, will dress for the San Francisco 49ers for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans on Feb. 3, according to an academy release. The 26-year-old wide receiver, who lettered for three years in football at the academy, will become only the fifth academy graduate to participate in a Super Bowl, following Chad Hennings, Steve Russ, Bryce Fisher, and Joe Lombardi, states the release. Hall, who played several seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, worked his way up from the 49ers' practice squad in November to the team's active roster for last month's NFC championship game against the Atlanta Falcons, states the release. Hall stands five feet, eight inches tall and weighs 187 pounds, according to the 49ers' website. He attributes his success to his Air Force background. "The rigors of the Air Force Academy just furthered my discipline and my work ethic," said Hall. He added, "Just because you go to the academy, it doesn't mean you can't follow your dreams and do anything you want, whether it's right away or after finishing your service commitment."
