Little Rock Veterans Honored during RF-101 Dedication: More than 20 former members of the Arkansas Air National Guard gathered with current members of the 189th Airlift Wing at Little Rock Air Force Base to dedicate an RF-101 Voodoo on static display in the base's Heritage Park. The RF-101 display had been a fixture of the wing's campus for years, but in August, officials relocated it to the park, according to a Nov. 26 base release. During the Oct. 31 dedication ceremony, wing officials honored the Air Guardsmen who flew and maintained Voodoos at Little Rock from 1972 to 1976. "I want to thank you for being part of the rich heritage of the Arkansas Air National Guard," said Col. Steve Eggensperger, 189th AW commander. He added, "I speak for the current members when I say that we are very proud of our heritage." Today, Little Rock's Air Guardsmen operate C-130s. (Little Rock report by SrA. Ian Caple)
