SSgt. Justin Tite, an aerial gunner with the 88th Test and Evaluation Squadron at Nellis AFB, Nev., received the Distinguished Flying Cross with Valor Device on July 9, 2012, for his heroic actions during a rescue mission in Afghanistan in 2011. Tite is credited with helping to save the lives of two soldiers and enabling the recovery of another soldier's body. Here, Maj. Gen.
