Update for F-15C Simulators: Boeing will upgrade the visual systems in a total of 12 F-15C mission training centers located at Kadena AB, Japan; JB Langley-Eustis, Va.; and RAF Lakenheath, Britain, under a recent $20 million contract, announced the company Tuesday. These MTCs will receive Boeing's Constant Resolution Visual System that "provides 360 degrees of immersive training, with a significantly lower cost than previous visual systems," according to the company. "A key feature of the CRVS is the ability to train with the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System and night vision goggles, both of which will be used in the F-15C MTC,” said Mark McGraw, Boeing's vice president for Training Systems & Services. Installation of the visual systems is slated to begin in October 2012, with completion scheduled for January 2013, said Boeing.
