Airmen have flown more than 225 missions and transported more than 4.2 million pounds of cargo and 2,800 passengers in support of the US military's Japan disaster assistance, according to the Air Force's latest figures, released March 23, 2011. Among the numerous activities, the flightline at Yokota Air Base near Tokyo is seeing more than three times its normal rate of traffic as civilian and military aircraft bring in relief supplies.
