The first permanent C-130 maintenance hangar in Afghanistan opened for use at Bagram Airfield, March 14, 2011, according to base officials. The double bay, 60,000-square-foot facility, shown here behind a C-130, will allow maintenance personnel to continue working on the transport aircraft during inclement weather, thereby helping to boost the base's C-130 sortie rates, said Bagram officials.
