Full-Service Pump: Running hoses from the ramp of a C-130, cadre at Moody AFB, Ga., qualified Air Combat Command logistics airmen in forward area refueling point operations. Until recently, only Air Force Special Operations Command trained to re-provision helicopters and aircraft on the ground near the front line. Now, "in ACC, it is just Moody and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base [in Arizona]" that do this, said TSgt. Tim Ramsey, 23rd Logistics Readiness Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of the training. In late November, Moody's five FARP qualified trainers led the effort to build and deploy ACC airmen in the specialized new role. "You don't have time to train and learn this stuff in a hostile area. The more you learn and practice here, the better you can do these things downrange when it matters most," added Lt. Col. T.C. Cunha, 920th Operations Support Squadron commander from Patrick AFB, Fla. (Moody report by A1C Jarrod Grammel)
