Lockheed Martin delivered the second production C-5M Super Galaxy transport to the Air Force during a ceremony at the company's production facility in Marietta, Ga., April 11, 2011. It is the fifth C-5M overall to join the fleet. The Air Force intends to convert 52 C-5s to C-5Ms by giving them new engines and reliability enhancements, along with new avionics under a separate upgrade. Here, the new C-5M departs Marietta on April 11, 2011, following the ceremony, for Stewart ANGB, N.Y., to undergo final interior refurbishment, painting, and trim.
