Brady Would Cut Bases: Gen. Roger Brady, commander US Air Forces in Europe, said Wednesday at that the latest push to save money should not target people or aircraft, rather the Air Force should cut real estate. Speaking at Wednesday's Four Star Forum at AFA's Air & Space Conference, Brady asserted, "We have too many bases." He noted that USAFE has divested two of its properties to the Army in the last few years, saving the command up to $15 million a year. "We need to look at the real estate question again," and consider a BRAC round which "actually closes bases."
