Scott Retains Communications Hall of Fame: Air Force Space Command officials have announced that the Communications and Information Hall of Fame will remain at Scott AFB, Ill., in the Air Force Network Integration Center's headquarters building. Furthermore, the hall of fame's nomination and selection process remains unchanged. With AFNIC's realignment under AFSPC last year—as part of the consolidation of the Air Force's cyber functions under the command—there were discussions whether to relocate the hall of fame to AFSPC headquarters at Peterson AFB, Colo., Maj. Karen Sanders, cyberspace operations director in AFSPC's force management branch, told the Daily Report through a spokesman. However, senior leadership decided the hall would remain in the AFNIC HQ building, which "has strong historical ties" to the Air Force's communications heritage, she explained. There, it "can continue to inspire future generations in the communications and information community," she said. (Peterson report by TSgt. Kevin Williams)
