Telling the Air Force Story the Universal Way: More than 250 paintings have gone on display at the National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Air Force Art Program. These paintings, all of which the artists donated to the art program within the past two years, tell story of the Air Force during that span using the universal language of art. "Visitors will see a compilation of what the artists have documented over the past two years, from relief efforts in Haiti to operations in Afghanistan," said Russell Kirk, Air Force Art Program director. "We are pleased to host such a diverse collection of artwork," said Charles Metcalf, museum director. The paintings will remain on display until Dec. 31 in the museum's Hall of Honor and Cold War Gallery. (Dayton report by Sarah Swan) (See also Peterson report by MSgt.
