New Exhibit Honors Fallen Security Forces Airmen: The Air Force Security Forces Museum at Lackland AFB, Tex., has opened a new exhibit called "Into the 21st Century" that highlights the role of security forces airmen in overseas contingency operations and honors the eight security forces airmen killed in conflict since 2005. Family members of five of these fallen airmen attended the exhibit's ribbon-cutting ceremony late last month. More than 1,100 security forces airmen from Lackland and Randolph Air Force Base lined the street in front of the museum as Brig. Gen. Jimmy McMillian, director of USAF's security forces, addressed the families. "These brave airmen stared danger in the face, protected their defenders, and paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country," he said. He added, "We will never forget their selfless service. We owe you and them a tremendous debt of gratitude."' (Lackland report by Mike Joseph)
