Hospitality Site Chosen Near Hill: Air Force officials announced Tuesday the selection of The Canyons ski resort in Summit County, Utah, as the potential future location of a commercial hospitality development that would offer airmen and their families access to Olympic-style skiing and other recreational activities. Robert Moore, Air Force Real Property Agency director, approved the move, which now clears the way for discussions with Wadman Corporation, the builder in line to develop the site, which is approximately 39 miles southeast of Hill Air Force Base in Ogden. Talisker Developments owns the property. "We look forward to discussions on location-specific details and trust we'll be able to reach an agreement for this facility soon," said Maj. Gen. Andrew Busch, Ogden Air Logistics Center commander. The Air Force began pursuing this project after transferred the Hill Haus recreation lodge to local communities to provide facilities for the 2002 Winter Olympics. (SAF/PA release)
