Personnel Oversight: On April 1, the Air Force Personnel Center will stand up a new operating location at Tinker AFB, Okla., to support the staffing processes for USAF's civilian workforce. It is one of five new operating locations that AFPC is establishing by 2011 to manage the staffing processes for large civilian centers (LCCs) under Air Force Materiel Command and the Air Force District of Washington. The LCCs currently performing these tasks at Tinker, Bolling AFB, Washington, D.C., Hill AFB, Utah, Robins AFB, Ga., and Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, will move under AFPC leadership. "With an on-site AFPC presence at the operating locations, AFPC will have first-hand knowledge of trends and requirements to ensure success in civilian staffing at these large civilian centers," said Maj. Gen. K.C. McClain, AFPC commander. After Tinker, AFPC's operating location at Bolling will stand up in July. The remaining three will come in 2011. (Randolph report by Kenny Pruitt)
