Brady to Receive Order of the Sword: Gen. Roger Brady, US Air Forces in Europe commander, has been tapped by the command's enlisted personnel to receive the Order of the Sword, the highest honor that enlisted airmen may bestow on an individual. Brady, who has led USAFE since January 2008, is retiring later this year after more than 40 years of uniformed service. He is scheduled to formally accept the Order of the Sword at a ceremony this fall at Ramstein AB, Germany. He will become the 19th USAFE commander to receive this honor. "From the minute General Brady took command of USAFE, his focus was on caring for our enlisted airmen, ensuring they and their families were well taken care of," said CMSgt. Pamela Derrow, USAFE command chief. She added, "Additionally, he fully supported every enlisted initiative that I brought forward to him." (Kapaun report by TSgt. Francesca Popp)
