CMSgt. Mike Ramos, an Air Force Special Operations Command combat controller, received the Legion of Merit, a rare honor for an enlisted airman, during a Jan. 5, 2010, ceremony at Hurlburt Field, Fla. where he last served as the first combat controller functional area manager. Over his 30-year career, Ramos provided exceptional leadership to combat controllers and had a broad impact on the special tactics force.
