Oliver "Ollie" Crawford, a former World War II pilot living in San Antonio, got the rare opportunity in December 2009 to ride in a two-seat U-2 reconnaissance aircraft flown from Beale AFB, Calif., officials with Beale's 9th Reconnaissance Wing announced Feb. 9, 2009. Crawford, who is in his 80s, became the oldest person to fly in the high-soaring airplane. Here, SSgt.
