Last fall's test of USAF C-130 direct support to an Army unit in Iraq exceeded expectations, according to the Army commander on the scene. USAF officials said April 28, 2010, during testimony before the House Armed Services air and land forces panel that use of the C-130 is just one approach being contemplated as the Air Force and Army continue to discuss the direct support mission.
