AFRC Commander Moves: The commander of Air Force Reserve Command last week moved his permanent residence from the Washington, D.C. area to Georgia, home to AFRC headquarters at Robins Air Force Base. We reported last month that the move was imminent. AFRC boss, Lt. Gen. Charles Stenner Jr., who also serves as Chief of the Air Force Reserve, headquartered at Bolling AFB, D.C., believes his domicile change "will accelerate the process of Total Force Integration" and enhance his ability to conduct major command responsibilities, which includes serving as "the center of gravity for operational taskings." He said that "to do justice" to that responsibility, "I believe it's imperative that I live where the command is located." (AFRC report)
