Air Force Special Operation Command’s CV-22 tiltrotor aircraft has been declared ready for combat operations, if called upon, a command spokeswoman confirmed March 16, 2009. AFSOC’s 8th Special Operations Squadron now has six CV-22s available for operations, with more coming, she said.
