Eighteen corrosion control specialists from the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath, Britain, spent approximately 70 hours each of off-duty time over a period of eight weeks to restore an F-15A aircraft to its original markings circa 1981 for display at the American Air Museum in Duxford, Britain. John Quintas, commander of Lakenheath’s 48th Operations Group, thanks the airmen for their efforts as he stands next to the F-15A during its dedication ceremony at the museum, June 4, 2009.
