In a briefing July 23, 2009, for its new Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Flight Plan, USAF officials revealed that the service already is viewing the next 40 years of probable advances in unmanned operations to cover an ever-growing range of missions. The new MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aircraft vehicle, flying here, is really a baby step on the road to a UAV that might one-day supplant manned fighters or bombers.
