Lockheed Retains LANTIRN Depot Work: According to a recent release from Lockheed Martin, the Air Force awarded the company a five-year, $60 million contract to continue depot maintenance support for the LANTIRN navigation and targeting pods for USAF and foreign military sales customers. (LANTIRN stands for low-altitude navigations and targeting infrared for night.) The work will be done at Lockheed's Warner Robins Worldwide Depot, a government-owned, contractor-operated facility at Robins AFB, Ga., where it has worked with Air Force Materiel Command's Warner Robins Air Logistics Center for the past 11 years. "Our depot employees and US Air Force team provide quick-turn repairs on LANTIRN assets with a commitment to quality," said David Ragsdale, LANTIRN product support manager at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
