Air Guard Gets New Enlisted Leader: CMSgt. Christopher Muncy from the Ohio Air National Guard was announced Monday as the Air Guard's new command chief. He will succeed CMSgt. Richard Smith, who spent some four years in that position and is retiring this spring after 37 years of service. As command chief, Muncy will be the senior advisor to new ANG Director Lt. Gen. Harry Wyatt on matters concerning the readiness, morale, welfare, proper use, and progress of more than 90,000 enlisted Air Guardsmen. Muncy is an Ohio native who enlisted in the Air Force in 1977 and joined the Air Guard two years later. He has been serving most recently as command chief of the Ohio ANG.
