One of the three C-130 avionics modernization program test aircraft sporting its new digital cockpit dropped by Hickam AFB, Hawaii, last week on a Pacific region tour designed to provide an evaluation of its integrated systems at it flew across international datelines. There is some question whether USAF will have the money it needs in 2010 to keep the C-130 AMP program going, since Congress has zeroed 2010 funding for the program. Here, a photographer captures part of the new digitized cockpit through the heads-up display on the Boeing-modified test aircraft. The test C-130 was at Hickam on Aug. 4, 2009.
