Raytheon’s GBU-53/B Small Diameter Bomb II design has flown for the first time in a control test vehicle test at Eglin AFB, Fla., the company announced April 28, 2009. Raytheon is competing against a Lockheed Martin-Boeing team to win the rights to build the new bomb for the Air Force.
