Every Picture Tells a Story: More than 200 new Air Force Art Program paintings from about 150 artists will be on display Oct. 21-24 at the officers' club at Bolling AFB, D.C. The exhibit will feature paintings donated by artists who traveled to document the Air Force's global mission, including operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, the service said in a release Oct. 15. The Air Force Art Program began in 1950. The service’s art collection now encompasses more than 9,400 pieces. Among the new additions to the collection is one called "Wakiki Sunrise" by noted aviation artist Keith Ferris, who was the subject of an article titled "Airpower on Canvas" in the September 2008 edition of Air Force Magazine.
