Eielson AFB, Alaska, has apparently made the Air Force’s shortlist of potential beddown locations for the F-35 stealth fighter, according to a report by the local Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, Oct. 14, 2008. The Air Force had not publicly issued the shortlist at the time of the article’s publication. Here, AA-1, the first F-35 test aircraft, in flight.
