Airmen at Charleston AFB, S.C., have just celebrated 15 years since delivery of the first C-17 to Charleston on June 14, 1993. Here, 20 of the highly versatile C-17s fly over Charleston, Dec. 21, 2006. The C-17s, assigned to the 437th and 315th Airlift Wings at Charleston were part of the largest C-17 formation in history from a single base and demonstrated the strategic airdrop capability of the US Air Force.
