Casing the Guidon: After slightly more than two years in service, the Air Force inactivated the 755th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron during a Jan. 11 ceremony at Bagram AB, Afghanistan. USAF formed the unit in December 2005 in response to an Army request for support in handling detainees. Lt. Col. Frank Howard, the squadron’s commander, said the 123-member unit’s performance excelled during its just-concluded eight-month stint at Bagram, with airmen garnishing 130 individual decorations and 40 promotions. The Navy’s Task Force Trident is now assuming the squadron’s duties. (USAF report by Capt. Mike Meridith)
