Going to the Dogs: The Air Force is erecting a new kennel facility for military working dogs at Creech AFB, Nev. Once completed, the 4,300 sq. ft. facility will house 14 dogs, making it the second largest of its kind in the Air Force and allowing Creech’s 99th Security Forces Ground Combat Training Squadron to train 150 to 175 working dogs and handlers for deployment each year, according to a USAF release April 4. (Lackland AFB, Tex., the home of DOD’s center for training military working dogs, has a History of the Military Working Dog)
