Medevac Is a New Game: When the Air Force decided to do away with dedicated aircraft for the aeromedical evacuation mission, it created a more flexible system and potential problem for medics—they need to train for a variety of platforms. Air Force Reserve Command staged a “jamboree” last week at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, just to let some of its medics gain experience with three different aircraft, reports TSgt. Charlie Miller. The event brought in about 80 airmen from California, Florida, Georgia, and Maryland. In Ohio, they got to experience different patient positioning for the C-17, C-130, and KC-135.
