The Bad and the Good: The Air Force has decided to waive repayment of a portion of GI Bill education benefits for those reservists that cannot find a new slot when their units close under BRAC 2005. The part about not having to repay is the good news. This waiver applies to airmen in their initial six-year enlistment in the Air National Guard or Air Force Reserve Command. Those airmen finding themselves without a new ANG or AFRC job must apply for a waiver through their local training offices.
