An Apology to Valdosta: The commander of 23rd Wing at Moody AFB, Ga., Col. Kenneth Todorov, wrote a letter published in The Valdosta Daily Times, explaining the problems with the privatized housing project at his facility. (See above.) He explained that the Air Force has “little recourse” to get the project going again, but that he is working at all levels of government to “raise awareness” of the situation. Todorov also expressed his concern about the local area subcontractors who have not been paid by American Eagle. He writes: “No other base in the Air Force has the same type of relationship Moody maintains with our local community. The support we receive from the community is simply irreplaceable. It is imperative these companies be justly compensated.”
